Wooden Nickel

The Wooden Nickel in Silverton, Oregon, has been a popular gathering place in Silverton for over 60 years. Every Saturday night The Traeger Pellet Grills help them deliver their famous mouth watering Slow Smoked Prime Rib. Along with the tradition of offering Prime Rib, the Nickel has been hand-crafting smoked German sausages since 1999. They offer these sausages in a variety of Wooden Nickel signature dishes like spicy jambalaya.

Roth’s Fresh Markets may be a grocery store, but it is also provides a fully capable, memorable catering service to help with events, large or small. The catering service can customize any menu to fit your needs, be it a simple buffet-style meal, a family BBQ or a gourmet dining experience with wine pairings. Roth’s Fresh Markets has nine stores locally owned and operated. Clean stores, tasty prepared foods, in-store wine experts, a florist and knowledgeable friendly employees make shopping at Roth’s an enjoyable experience every time. Yet the first Friday of every month from 3 to 6 p.m. could be the best time to visit, during Roth’s wine tasting with food pairing suggestions and free samples of new products. Open 6 am to 10 pm seven days a week.

Gilgamesh

Gilgamesh Brewing

Once based out of the woods of Turner, OR, Gilgamesh Brewing has expanded and moved into a new facility in South Salem on Madrona Avenue. The three Radtke brothers, and father Lee, spent the summer of 2012 recreating a once grass seed warehouse into a full scale brewery and its office building into a handcrafted restaurant featuring custom woodwork and metal fabrication. Pringle Creek runs along the covered back patio which opens up into the large back yard of the property which creates a nice ambiance. Their motto is “a beer for everyone” and the range of selection provides the delicious proof.

14-year old Keizer boy Jordan owns a business and doesn’t even have his driver’s license yet. He learned how to make crepes in French class, which inspired him to start his own crepe business. He has researched how to become a successful business man top to bottom, from taxes, to licensing, to recipes, to you name it! Jordan has found his success at the 2014 Portland Rose Festival selling sweet and savory crepes to the masses. Be sure to stop by and support Jordan in his new venture.

FUSION

FUSION

FUSION is a semi-Vietnamese mobile food truck serving old family recipes. Minh and Carmen have added their own twist to the recipes, making them only semi-authentic, but also fantastic! FUSION can be found locally serving customers at establishments such at the b2 Taphouse, Vagabond Brewing, Salem Ale Works, Santiam Brewing and many additional events throughout the Salem area.

Tacos los Muertos uses fresh thoughtfully sourced ingredients to create hand crafted Mexican Street food that is great tasting and fun to eat. This is food they love to eat and care about and hope to share that love with their patrons. Based out of Pura Vida Cocina in McMinnville, they are able to move around and cater big or small events all over the valley.

Cacioppo’s serves the Willamette Valley at the Salem Saturday Market and the Wednesday Farmers Market. Well known for their delicious Wood Fired Pizzas, Gyros, Salads and Hummus, Tina and her crew love what they do and love to serve their customers flavorful food with the best ingredients available. Try them out, you won’t be disappointed!

Cherry City Ice Creamery

Cherry City Ice Creamery can be found at Salem’s Saturday Market.  Mother/daugther team, Lynn and Lani, spend their free time churning unique and creative ice cream flavors to please all ages and all palates.  Some of their creations include Black Cherry Soda Dark Chocolate floats, Blueberry Cheesecake, Chunk o’ Churro, and they have even been know to concoct flavors using Salem’s local Gilgamesh Brews.
